Vermillion Youth Soccer League Positions  

DUTIES OF ELECTED POSITIONS
President Wendy Johnson	The President shall direct the officers, committees, and Board of Directors, and shall act as the presiding officer at all meetings of the Board of Directors and general membership. The President shall be responsible for conducting the business of the Vermillion Youth Soccer League, for implementing policies established by the Board of Directors, for coordinating the activities of the Vermillion Youth Soccer League, for general administration, and for other duties as the Board of Directors may approve or direct.
First Vice President Kelly Herbster	The First Vice President shall assume the duties of the President in the absence of the President. The First Vice President shall recommend long range projects and goals for the betterment of the Vermillion Youth Soccer League and shall, with the approval of the Board of Directors, be responsible for all League fund raising activities.
Game Coordinator Karen Prescott	The Game Coordinator shall be responsible for all aspects of carrying out the schedule of the Vermillion Youth Soccer League including securing officials for each game. The Game Coordinator shall be responsible for the maintenance of League scores and standings.
Training Coordinator Levi Froke	The Training Coordinator shall chair the Training Committee. The Training Committee shall include a referee administrator who shall be responsible for recruiting and organizing the training of the referees. Qualified referee instructors shall be solicited to train, evaluate and place, by division, the League’s referees. The Training Committee shall include a coach administrator who shall be responsible for recruiting and organizing the training of the coaches. Experienced coaches shall be solicited to train and assist the League’s coaches.
Equipment Coordinator Angie Peterson	The Equipment Coordinator, under the direction of the Board of Directors, shall be responsible for determining the material requirements of the Vermillion Youth Soccer League. The Equipment Coordinator shall be responsible for the purchasing, distribution and collection, when appropriate, of all equipment, such as uniforms or shirts, nets, balls and other game and practice materials.
DUTIES OF NON-ELECTED POSITIONS
Treasurer/Secretary Jayme Mulheron	The Treasurer/Secretary shall oversee the collection of all dues and fees, shall have charge of all monies, issue bills and receipts for dues and fees, and pay all bills due of the Vermillion Youth Soccer League, including the payment of referees. The Treasurer/Secretary shall maintain checking and savings accounts in a reputable bank in the name of the Vermillion Youth Soccer League, with signature authority requiring two of the following: President, Treasurer/Secretary, and Registrar. The Treasurer/Secretary shall keep a detailed record of the income and expenditures and submit a written, detailed monthly report to the Board of Directors and a written general report at each Annual General Membership meeting.
Registrar Jayme Mulheron	The Registrar shall be responsible for executing the registration of teams and players with the Vermillion Youth Soccer League and the South Dakota State Soccer Association. The Registrar shall maintain team and player registration records including team rosters and coaches.
Recording Secretary Sharon Nielsen	The President shall appoint a Recording Secretary who shall record the minutes of all meetings and shall maintain and distribute meeting minutes, notices of meetings, and a calendar of events. With input from the Board of Directors, the Recording Secretary shall prepare, for the approval of the President, the calendar of events, including Vermillion Youth Soccer League and South Dakota State Soccer Association deadlines and milestones, and shall update the calendar as necessary. The Recording Secretary shall assist the Presiding Officer at all meetings in determining and maintaining the agenda, and shall perform other duties as directed by the President.
Publicity Director	The President shall appoint a Publicity Director who shall be responsible for maintaining communications between the Vermillion Youth Soccer League and the media, including, but limited to, scores, standings, and information on upcoming events.
